The Role

We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineering Supervisor to lead our Asset Care team at our Dandenong South facility. As a key member of our site's leadership team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing a planned asset care program, utilizing our new computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and associated in-field condition-based monitoring sensors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Asset Care team to align with manufacturing priorities and meet all aspects of asset care KPIs
  • Drive compliance to the asset care/preventative maintenance schedule, ensuring all work orders are completed on time, in full, and to the required quality, safety, and environmental standards
  • Manage team and resources to prioritize maintenance requests and meet business needs and expectations
  • Lead Asset Care continuous improvement methodologies, such as Failure Mode and Effect Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and embed methodology outputs
  • Establish a rigorous asset care program, utilizing the CMMS and associated IoT condition-based monitoring devices, and build planned contingencies to minimize plant and equipment reliability impacts
  • Manage costs within the asset care environment, using CMMS and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Perform maintenance and asset care records review and associated ERP transactions
  • Ensure process waste materials are monitored and removed from work areas and disposed of safely
  • Actively lead the manufacturing team in maintaining a high-level working environment, adhering to SHEQ standards, and drive a safety culture
  • Support and drive a cohesive, flexible, and goal-focused culture, aligned with Lyka's values
Requirements
  • Degree qualifications in mechanical, electrical, electronic, or industrial engineering
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar manufacturing environment, leading an asset care team
  • Experience with automated production lines, utilities, and building assets, such as refrigeration systems, boilers, and air compressors
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement asset care programs and creating maintenance strategies, short-term maintenance schedules, and managing spare parts strategies and inventory
  • Experience in lean manufacturing methodologies, asset care centric and general operationally centric
  • ERP and CMMS systems experience; experience with HACCP and GMP highly desirable, and experience in ISO or GFSI safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • High-level IT skills and ability to prioritize and analyze data
  • Methodical mindset, with high degree of troubleshooting capability, comfortable dealing with emergencies, and ability to ideate and implement practical solutions
  • Sound communication skills, written and oral, with ability to impact multi-level relationships
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and excellent people management skills
  • Self-motivated and reliable team player, with high level of commitment and passion, particularly regarding human safety, food safety, and customer service
