About the role

We’re looking to engage with a Civil Supervisor who will be responsible for providing supervision to a team of internal employees and contractors undertaking civil works, ensuring the efficient delivery of allocated programs of work within time and cost budgets while managing risks to ensure total asset performance and safety objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Ensuring the timely resolution of "day-to-day" team issues and promptly referring to the Project/ Construction Manager where required;
  • Managing day-to-day operational aspects within the work team;
  • Coordinate the overall delivery of the works program to meet cost, time and quality targets;
  • Role model appropriate health and safety behaviours and foster a culture and environment that minimises the risk to people’s health, safety and wellness and impacts on the environment.
  • Provide day-to-day safety leadership onsite
  • Assisting in the development of construction project plans, budgets, resource, and management plans to ensure the effective planning and execution of work;
  • Implementing planned forums to foster the development of innovative ideas;
  • Maintaining awareness of new materials and emerging technologies and the potential application of innovative solutions;
  • Remaining on the forefront of emerging industry practices. Ensuring preparedness for unplanned emergency response through training and rostering of appropriate personnel

About You

  • To be selected for interview your resume should demonstrate formal technical, and or trade qualifications alongside experience with:

  • Employee and industrial relations (including awards).
  • Contracts
  • Construction, maintenance and operation techniques as applied to Electricity networks.
  • Risk management
  • Building successful teams
