Our Group General Counsel’s office within Macquarie’s Legal and Governance Group is essential in embedding legal operations and supporting the Group General Counsel along with the wider Business Legal Leadership teams. The Group General Counsel’s Office enhances collaboration among legal teams across operating groups, providing resources and guidance to support their business units effectively.

As Global Legal Panel Lead, you will support the management and operational aspects of our panel of external law firms and service providers. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient operation and management of our legal e-billing system (TeamConnect), including liaising with the system provider and supporting our teams with invoice management and payment processes. The Global Legal Panel Lead will also act as a link between our organisation and external partners, fostering strong relationships, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting our panel governance processes.

  • Demonstrated experience dealing with external law firms and service providers, preferably specific experience in TeamConnect or similar legal billing platforms
  • Proficient in strategic thinking and process improvement, with excellent communication skills
  • Strong ability to produce and interpret data, including translating complex information into actionable insights
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address challenges creatively and effectively
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
