About the Role
The APS5 Level Procurement (Labour Hire) Specialist is a crucial team member, responsible for organising workflow and making independent decisions within their area of responsibility located in DEAKIN ACT.
This role involves providing policy advice based on policies and legislation, conducting moderately complex to complex research, and delivering thorough analysis and advice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Offering level administrative support to the Procurement team, handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Providing procurement advice and support across the Agency.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Client Procurement Policy and procedures.
  • Tracking value for money outcomes and preparing detailed KPI reports.
  • Preparing various procurement-related documents.
  • Drafting professional correspondence and reports.
  • Managing data entry, extraction, and manipulation for accurate Agency reporting.
  • Contributing to team and branch planning activities, identifying improvement opportunities.

About You:

  • We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with the following attributes:
  • Experience: Proven experience in procurement, particularly within a governmental or large organisation context.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and procurement best practices.
  • Skills: Excellent research, analysis, and reporting skills.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of drafting professional documents and correspondence.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Problem Solver: Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvements.
