HOBAN Recruitment is seeking a dedicated APS5 Level Guidance Officer to join our client's team in Newcastle, NSW. The role involves undertaking moderately complex to complex work to support the National Delivery objectives of the agency.
You will be responsible for creating and updating clear operational guidelines, ensuring consistency in decision-making and enhancing the participant experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Researching, drafting, and updating internal and external guidance with a participant focus.
  • Interpreting policy and legislative environments, including the relevant Act and Rules.
  • Developing or updating guidance material based on participant and external stakeholder feedback.
  • Providing service delivery knowledge and advice to support an improved participant experience.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and innovation in the branch.
  • Managing multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards and governance protocols.

About You:
Essential Skills:

  • Ability to write in plain English.
  • Experience in writing standard operating procedures for ICT systems.
  • Positive, contemporary attitude towards people with a disability.
  • Proficient in researching and drafting complex information into plain English.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Experience working effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of the PACE system.
  • Awareness of the participant journey within a Disability framework.
