Job DescriptionKPMG's Indirect Tax team is a market leading, dynamic, diverse team that is currently working with some of the best clients and on some of the largest transactions in Australia. We help our clients to better manage their indirect tax obligations, to improve cash flow, reduce their overall risk profile, and help improve the strength of their businesses. Due to exciting growth we are seeking Consultant to Manager level talent, based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth.Your OpportunityForming part of the Indirect Tax team within our Tax & Legal division, this role will play a key part in delivering on advisory engagements for clients. In this role you will:Execute and lead the delivery of indirect tax and GST advisory engagements for diverse clients, with a global reach.Help to develop and implement our indirect tax compliance solutions including the use of data analytics, system implementation and robotics process automation.Assist in adequately responding to reviews, resolve disputes and investigations with tax authorities.Engage with stakeholders to report on engagement outcomes.Lead junior team members on a day-to-day basis, mentor and provide professional development.Support the growth of our future practice, develop strong relationships with clients and internal KPMG stakeholders, identify opportunities for future business and shape our future indirect tax offerings.How are you extraordinary?You are a people-person with a love of sharing your GST and Indirect Tax insight and tailoring your communication appropriately for subject matter experts and clients.You are skilled at project management, with a love of big-picture thinking and the skills to see projects from beginning to end. To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience could include:Knowledge of Australian GST at the Senior Consultant or Manager level, and ability to impactfully deliver your expertise to clients.Knowledge of GST, from advisory, compliance and technology through to audits and disputes, ideally having worked in a consulting firm environment or in an in-house role.An understanding of the Indirect Tax market including emerging trends across key markets and in tax technology, appropriate for a Senior Consultant or Manager role.Experience in transactions/deals work, or in relation to indirect tax governance, processes or controls would be highly valued.You may also be at a consultant level and have a willingness to transition your career.Additional InformationKPMG is a professional services firm with global outreach and deep sector experience.
