We’re looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our close-knit, experienced and multidisciplinary team in the Woodrising area near beautiful Lake Macquarie. You’ll be working with clients aged 0-65 with a focus on supporting adult clients in the NDIS space who have a variety of diagnoses and abilities, helping them achieve independence and enhance their quality of life.

  • A Supportive Team: You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team of three Occupational Therapist and two therapy assistants, offering a collaborative environment and regular supervision to ensure your professional growth. You'll also have access to experienced pediatric Occupational Therapist for guidance when working with younger clients.
  • Multidisciplinary Approach: Work in a dynamic team of Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Behaviour Support Practitioners and Counsellors.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • Membership with AHPRA as a registered Occupational Therapist
  • Minimum of 1 year experience providing Occupational Therapy services to adults (NDIS experience is a plus) and the motivation to work with children and young people.
  • Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Drivers licence
  • Demonstrated experience prioritising workloads and managing clients with complex needs.
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development, Evidenced Based Practice, and measuring clinical outcomes.
  • Ability to work as a collaboratively member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality principles and WHS responsibilities.
  • A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or able to get one for a client facing role (or willingness to obtain one before commencement)

Desirable

  • Knowledge of diverse cultures and community needs
  • Experience in facilitating training and education to clients, support networks, service providers and/or the community.
  • Demonstrated experience of developing and maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
