About the opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our client on a contract basis supporting a high-profile Financial Services client. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping and delivering key data-related initiatives within the financial crime space, part of the role will be focusing on building solutions on big data platforms, performing data migrations and creating data strategy plans. This is a hands-on role requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of data solutions.
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience as a Technical Business Analyst on Data related projects within Financial Services
- Proven experience building solutions big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, or similar)
- Expertise in data migration projects, ideally within complex, large-scale environments.
- Solid understanding of data strategy and its application in driving business outcomes, including data governance and data quality best practices.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders as well as working closely with business teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of financial crime regulations and risk management is highly desirable.
- Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
Roles and responsibilities
- Big Data Platforms: Work closely with technical teams to build solutions on big data platforms that support large-scale data processing and analytics in the financial crime domain.
- Data Migration: Lead the planning, analysis, and execution of large-scale data migration projects
- Data Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement long-term data strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on improving data quality, accessibility, and governance.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with both business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure the successful delivery of data projects.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within data processes and systems, proposing solutions that enhance performance, scalability, and accuracy.
- Risk & Compliance: Ensure all data initiatives comply with relevant regulations and contribute to the organization's financial crime prevention strategies.
