Your Opportunity

The Psychosocial Support Program (PSP) is a vital program in the community in partnership with the Healthy North Coast PHN supporting people living with mental illness.

As the Administration Officer based in Lismore, will provide coverage support for the effective operation of the Mission Australia offices from Coffs Harbour to Lismore. You will be the welcoming first point of contact for all site visitors and inbound service calls and emails, managing workflow through the Client Record Management system, as well as fulfilling other key administrative tasks that are vital to the efficient running of the service.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a welcoming and supportive first point of contact for vulnerable people who are accessing our support services.
  • Conduct a range of administration tasks including but not limited to meeting minute taking, data entry, responding to communications from clients, SharePoint document filing, purchasing and accounts payable, managing email inboxes, answering the telephone, and ensuring voice messages are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Highly professional and courteous, verbal, and written communication that is aligned with the Mission Australia Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain all fleet vehicles and respond to all building maintenance issues as they arise.
  • Provide other team support activities as required to support the delivery of services.

Requirements for Success

With significant experience in an administrative role in the community service and/or health sectors and demonstrated ability to work with vulnerable people, you will be confident managing multiple competing priorities and working with people displaying challenging and complex behaviours.  Other requirements include:

  • Proficient in using computer packages such as Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Exceptional level of customer service and experience, with excellent analytical, literacy, numeracy, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated solutions focused thinking and problem solving.
  • Experienced in the use of databases and online information systems and records management.
  • High level organisational and time management skills.
  • Client focused and respectful with vulnerable people who are accessing our services.
  • Full driver licence with no restrictions.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
