Currently the Laboratory Calibration team is seeking a Technical Officer to join the team

The Technical Officer will be responsible for performing site calibrations and completing technical incidents and investigations, as well as resolving equipment breakdowns.

Key Duties:

  • Complete TrackWise incidents and investigations
  • Assist staff to resolve equipment breakdowns. Liaise with equipment service technicians where appropriate
  • Ensure the application of sound scientific principles in calibration work.
  • Initiate and maintain the calibration of all relevant instruments (internal and external calibration procedures).
  • Perform reviews and trend assessments of calibrations performed to identify indications of potential problems
  • Collect appropriate data to define, identify, analyse, correct and prevent potential equipment failure
  • Ensure activities comply with GMP, Legal and ethical standards
  • Plan, monitor and achieve goals within set time frames
  • Provide, build and maintain consistent, reliable and accurate customer service
  • Perform other duties as required by management
  • Champion safety across the site, identify hazards and provide appropriate solutions where required

Key Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Science and/or similar
  • Strong knowledge of GMP and other regulatory standards
  • Ability to understand technical documents and communicate description of problems and solutions
  • Strong time management and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate and build rapport with a range of internal stakeholders
