Casual positions available in all ten Sport and Recreation Centres (state-wide).

Daily rate  starts at $213.35 per day plus superannuation. If rostered for night duty, payable allowance of $49.25.

The Office of Sport is the lead NSW Government agency for sport and active recreation. With a vision of sport and active recreation creating healthier people, connecting communities, and making a stronger NSW, we provide the people of NSW with the leadership, policies, programs, funding and infrastructure necessary to maximise the social, health and economic benefits realised through this valued sector. 

Our work is spread across NSW, with ten Sport and Recreation Centres, four Olympic Sport Venues and offices throughout the state.

About the role

The Group Leader role is suitable for a large range of people that enjoy working with others. As Group Leader, you will provide excellent customer service to a range of clients and have the opportunity to facilitate sport and active recreation programs.

This role is rostered over 7 days including weeknights and weekends as required.

Programs are run all year round, including weekend and school holiday periods. Some programs are residential, there will be times where Group Leaders may be required to reside overnight.

Liaison and customer support and the opportunity to facilitate sport and active recreation activities.

Working with a diverse range of customers including children, adults, and persons of all abilities from diverse backgrounds.

About you

You will have an outgoing personality with an ability to deliver high level customer service to a diverse range of client groups.

Willingness to learn and a can-do attitude.

Stong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to be a team player and open to collaborating with others.

Experience facilitating sport and active recreation activities is desired.

Essential requirements

First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).

The successful applicant will be subject to a National Criminal Records Check.
