Prospero Teaching are working with a Jewish school located in the North Shore area who are looking to appoint a Head of Primary ELC – K6. We are committed to providing excellence in education within a supportive and culturally rich environment.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Early Learning Centre (ELC) – Year 6 to join our team starting from Term 2. As the Head of ELC – Year 6, you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and guidance to our educators, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education in alignment with our school’s values and ethos.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Early Learning Centre and Year 6 team.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and stakeholders to enhance the educational experience for all students.
  • Implement curriculum initiatives that reflect the unique needs and values of our Jewish school community.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of assessment and reporting processes to monitor student progress.
  • Support professional development opportunities for staff to continually enhance teaching practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Relevant teaching experience in Early Childhood Education and/or Primary Education.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a school setting.
  • Understanding and appreciation of Jewish culture, values, and traditions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
