About the Role:
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role where you can drive innovative solutions and influence key stakeholders to achieve optimal design outcomes? Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary technical teams in delivering accurate, timely, and cost-effective engineering outputs. This role focuses on ensuring consistent quality across all design projects by driving efficient processes and lean principles. As the primary engineering representative, you will challenge stakeholders to meet the project’s objectives while delivering optimal value and technical innovation. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage technical design teams to ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective project outputs.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety in Design (SID) and Sustainability in Design (SuiD) processes to mitigate health and safety risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement design delivery plans that align with business needs including water quality, stakeholder relations, and safety.
  • Oversee quality assurance by adhering to technical standards and ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, communicating project progress, cost management, and potential risks.
  • Lead the identification and adoption of innovative solutions to improve efficiency and project outcomes.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Eng) with substantial experience in engineering design and project management.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and lead technical teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and achieve optimal design outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, technical documentation, and the ability to prepare professional reports.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance in all aspects of design management.

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Project Management or Business Management.
  • Experience in auditing and reviewing technical designs prepared by others.

Special conditions:

  • Medical clearances and immunizations relevant to the role (e.g., COVID-19, Hepatitis A/B, Q Fever).
  • Criminal police checks and clearance checks as required.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain it throughout employment.
