About the role:

MUFG is a leading international bank in the Oceania market.

Due to recent success and continued growth, applications are being sought for a Sydney based Associate, FX Sales in our Corporate & Institutional Risk Solutions team.

The Sydney based Associate role will assist broader Oceania FX sales team with client coverage and administration including FX flow dealing along with providing FX middle office support. The roles focus will be across MUFG’s Corporate, Institutional & Global Subsidiary customer facing business unit.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support Oceania FX team in managing clients including direct engagement and FX flow dealing
  • Act as back up to senior FX sales dealers and assist with desk coverage
  • Support the delivery of improvements and efficiency to the FX team by providing FX middle office support
  • Demonstrating a good understanding of the requirements of MUFG’s Oceania FX client base across significantly differing levels of customer requirements
  • Managing relationships with transactional clients including those serviced over e-platforms for flow-based business
  • Helping drive efficiency and process improvements
  • Working hours flexibility to meet the demands of the business. Early or late market coverage may be required
  • Monthly/weekly/daily or ad-hoc internal reporting’s and other management / regional reporting requirements along with Customer database management
  • Any other required tasks as directed in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures and required to support the broader Oceania FX business

What we are looking for:

  • 1 - 4 years experience
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Experience in FX markets preferable
  • Good level of financial market knowledge and understanding
  • Beginner level understanding of interest rate products, pricing and theory
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to details are must
  • Proficiency in the full suite of core Microsoft products with key capabilities in excel and data analytics
  • Superior communication skills and strong team player
  • AFMA Accreditation preferred, or desire to obtain
