About You: 

You will have :

  • Passion for Designing and implementing creative food concepts
  • Relevant experience in a similar role minimum 4 years in a 5 star kitchen
  • Experience in multiple operations like high tea, events, ala carte desserts etc.
  • Working rights in Australia (we cannot offer sponsorship for this position)
  • Self-motivated, driven and energized in a fast-paced environment 
  • Armed with smart solutions and a can-do attitude 

The Role 

  • Create innovative pastry menus that reflect current trends and the Westin Melbourne Brand and 
  • Oversee production ensuring quality and consistency
  • Inspire, lead and train a small team of pastry chefs
  • Manage food costs, minimizing waste
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the delivery of an excellent guest experience
  • Comply with food and health safety requirements
