About the role

We are seeking a Microsoft Windows Engineer with minimum NV1 security clearance to be responsible for developing and operating Windows server platforms to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our client's IT infrastructure. You will design, test, deploy, and maintain Windows operating systems, integrating them with VMware virtualization platforms and other technologies. Success in this role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality Windows solutions.

This role is based on-site in Adelaide and can be taken as a Contract or Permanent opportunity.

About you

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Develop and operate Windows server platforms, including Active Directory, DNS, PKI, and remote desktop services.
  • Design, test, and deploy new versions of the Windows operating system, building and maintaining system images.
  • Integrate Windows operating systems with VMware virtualization platforms and other technologies.
  • Integrate and support management and security software and configurations for Windows environments.
  • Provide server automation to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Implement regular checks to confirm system status, including hardware and software.
  • Develop and operate backup and recovery services for virtualized Windows systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Requirements:

  • Minimum NV1 clearance, ideally NV2 or PV
  • A background in Defence or Federal Government is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Windows server platforms, including Active Directory, DNS, PKI, and remote desktop services.
  • Experience in designing, testing, and deploying Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of integration with VMware virtualization platforms and other technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with server automation tools and techniques for Windows environments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality Windows solutions.
