About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to join our expanding team at First Focus IT Pty. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering projects to our customers, working on a wide range of technologies including HP and Dell Servers and SANs, VMware, Cisco routing and switching, Citrix, AWS, Microsoft (AD, SCCM, Exchange, SQL server, Azure, O'365 etc).

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical research and proof-of-concepts
  • Definition and scoping of technical project plans
  • Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Wintel server and storage solutions based on industry best practices
  • Solve complex technical problems across a wide variety of technologies
  • Solution design, implementation and support across a variety of public cloud platforms including Office 365, Azure and AWS
  • Work with highly experienced Engineers and Technical Account Managers to deliver best in class technical solutions
  • Train Service Desk team members on latest technologies and solutions deployed
  • Research and stay up to date with current and emerging infrastructure/network/cloud technologies in the marketplace via partner events, online webinars plus formal and on the job training
Requirements
  • Experience working with large Hyper-V environments or clusters will be very favorably viewed
  • Experience with Windows, Active Directory, Group Policy, Infrastructure Virtualisation, Office 365, routing and switching, scripting (VB/Powershell)
  • Experience in network switching, routing and security will be favorably viewed
  • Supporting, managing and maintaining Microsoft Azure - Azure AD Connect, Azure AD & Azure IAM
  • Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam or similar
  • Security and policy management experience
  • Knowledge of Office 365 Intune MDM and Autopilot deployments, Microsoft Office 365 administration
  • Excellent complex-problem diagnosis technique
  • Experience with Connect Wise or other ticketing systems, Automate (Lab Tech), and/or Solarwinds Orion
  • Experience working in a managed services, outsourcing or professional services environment
