The role

Supporting the Paradise Dam Improvement Project, we are looking for a Project Manager to produce and manage robust detailed business cases to demonstrate to that infrastructure investment proposals are justified and prudent.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage effective and efficient project delivery, performance monitoring and reporting, end-to-end project management, cost control, contract preparation, tender preparation and evaluation, construction management, commissioning and handover
  • Manage preparation of briefs and managing contracts for the engagement of contractors and consultants for outsourced project and constructions works, and monitoring their performance to ensure quality outputs
  • Functional management and mentoring of Sunwater construction management resources, including construction managers, construction inspectors and other staff as required for infrastructure construction project delivery
  • Understanding of financial management (Financial principles, accounting procedures, budgets, revenue, job margin, plant costing, P&L, overhead, forecasts, risk and opportunity accruals direct and fixed costs)

About you

We are looking for someone with approximately 10 years’ experience supporting the construction of infrastructure engineering projects. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or relatable engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated engineering project management skills, with experience in analysis of infrastructure projects and the provision of input to the negotiation and development of construction contracts
  • In depth understanding of subcontractor management processes
  • Understanding of relevant contractual agreements, breaches and implications
