Infrastructure Project Manager | SD-Wan

Our client, a national organisation within the construction engineering sector, are currently seeking an ICT Project Manager for a SD-Wan implementation project for an initial 12 mth contract with possible extension. The successful candidate MUST be Brisbane based.
The role of the ICT Project Manager is to facilitate and implement projects for the ICT team. The role will work closely with vendors to manage and deliver software & infrastructure enhancement and replacement solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist to define, and then lead the planning, implementation, and handover of approved solutions
- Own and deliver projects from post concept through to closure.
- Lead and manage cross-functional project teams and manage stakeholder engagement to successfully deliver within agreed business outcomes.
- Create plans for work packages including scope, schedule, resources, technology deliverables, costs and implementation of systems into the business in-line with the ICT strategy and methodology.
- Develop effective working relationships with ICT teams, the business, suppliers to gain commitment, support and resource to deliver technical streams of work.
- Work closely with the network/systems teams to ensure successful technical delivery and acceptance into production.
- Facilitate steering committee meetings where required.
- Manage and report on project issues and risks to the relevant stakeholders and employ counter-measures to mitigate / minimise risks.
- Prepare and deliver project management deliverables, such as meeting minutes and reports to the appropriate project steering committees.
- Matrix management of resources in various geographic locations across technical work-streams to ensure that solutions are delivered in accordance with agreed KPIs.
- Ensure delivery complies with the appropriate governance and architectural principles.
- Provide support to coordinate User Acceptance Testing and monitor testing processes to ensure that business quality expectations are met.
- Participate in tender process including design, submission and review as required.
- Provide technical input when negotiating and administering supplier contracts and service agreements.
- Work with the program services manager to provision necessary ICT project resources across the program.

Essential Selection Criteria:
- Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in a similar role, managing projects following a methodology and managing other initiatives as projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of business and technical consultants, to work with senior ICT stakeholders and to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing information management related projects
- SDWAN and Networking Infrastructure experience essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of key program and project/change methodologies, including either AGILE/PRINCE2, PMBOK methodologies, with a working knowledge of the project development lifecycle in ICT environments.
- Demonstrated experience and/or qualifications working within an ITIL framework environment.
- Demonstrated experience of developing capabilities of ICT to meet business needs, including ICT systems requirements specification.
- Demonstrated experience of managing stakeholder relationships within complex projects with the ability to manage and resolve conflict, meeting challenging deadlines and delivering under pressure.
- Significant experience of managing budgets.
- Demonstrated experience of risk identification, mitigation, and management.
- Demonstrated procurement and/or contract management experience with various suppliers.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Strong people management skills including conflict management.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, evaluative skills and attention to detail.
- High level of verbal and written communication.
- Worked within an engineering/construction environment.
