Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Fleet Controller will have exceptional operational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage relationships effectively across various business units. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a flair for problem solving. As a Fleet Controller you will work with a fun team as well as get immense job satisfaction through utilizing your varied skill set
What you'll do:
Oversee a team of drivers to ensure daily operations of the fleet, including scheduling and allocation is timely and accurate Maintain excellent working relationships with all stakeholders, customers, and drivers Communicate effectively with drivers and customers around planning, runs, and delays Conduct proactive assessments of operations with the aim of enhancing efficiency Manage and monitor payroll, driver’s performance, leave entitlements, and truck servicing Load planning & optimization via solid analytical skills with the ability to systemically plan resources Recognize opportunities to improve current processes and revenue margins through P&L accountability Proactively managing sub-contractors and associated costsWhat You Will Bring:
Prior experience in a similar Fleet Controller or Allocator role within the Transport and Logistics industry Sound knowledge and understanding of OH&S, CoR & NHVR legislation SAP, MT DATA, WMS & TMS knowledge is desirable Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced and challenging environment A continuous improvement mindset with good change management experience Ability to build strong relationships internal and externallyWhat you’ll love when you join us:
