About the role

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Organisation of shift allocations to ensure adequate rostering to the requirements of the region Assist with the recruitment and training of Pathology Specimen Collectors Ensure best practice service standards are met in all locations Collection of blood and other samples from patients Packaging and dispatching of specimens, including stock and equipment maintenance Co-ordination of customer appointments and request details Ensuring adherence to Occupational Health and Safety and Quality Policies

About you 

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:

Demonstrated experience in all facets of Phlebotomy and the ability to supervise staff Deliver training with positive outcomes Excellent communication skills and intermediate computer experience Strong customer focus and accuracy with attention to detail A current full (unrestricted) driver licence is required  Demonstrated ability to understand and adhere to policies and procedures and convey this knowledge to both existing and new employees

Due to internal movements we are seeking a Collection Coordinator who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team in the South Region for a 12 month contract.

Responsibilities :

Manage the operations of pathology collection including roster, payroll, training, and competency Organisation of shift allocations to ensure adequate rostering to the requirements of the region Provide strong and effective leadership to a highly engaged collection team Manage operational costs including labour and consumables Ensure WHS, quality and NATA compliance Manage and oversee all people matters in relation to recruitment, onboarding, induction, performance, retention and development Ensure best practice service standards are met in all locations – Stock and equipment maintenance Collection of blood and other samples from patients, as required - Packaging and dispatching of specimens

About You:

Hold aCertificate III in Pathology Collection and HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing Demonstrated experience in all facets of Phlebotomy and the ability to supervise staff Strong people management skills Deliver training with positive outcomes Excellent communication skills and intermediate computer experience A high degree of discretion, confidentiality and professionalism Excellent time management skills Strong customer focus and accuracy with attention to detail A high rate of accuracy and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team A current full (unrestricted) driver licence is required Demonstrated ability to understand and adhere to policies and procedures and convey this knowledge to both existing and new employees A good understanding of NATA requirements (ISO15189) and NPAAC guidelines
