The purpose of the Land Acquisition Specialist is to provide subject matter advice and expertise in relation to land and acquisition. This includes acquisition and negotiation strategies for the delivery, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of Powerlink’s infrastructure and assets.

Based in Bowen Hills, you will join a high performing team that proactively engages with landholders, developers and other key community stakeholders to ensure we can continue to safely and reliably operate and maintain our network. You will help provide advice as you grow your skills every day. And you’ll do it with down-to-earth people who you’re proud to work with and get to know.

Your expertise

⦁ Degree level qualification in Valuation, Property or relevant field.
⦁ Proven experience working in a similar or related role.
⦁ Advanced and developed knowledge and experience in land matters, compensation principles, negotiation frameworks, and acquisition.
⦁ Demonstrated working knowledge of relevant legislation requirements in particular the various Land Acts.
⦁ Strong stakeholder engagement communication and interpersonal skills.
⦁ Demonstrated experience and understanding of the scoping and maturing early stages of infrastructure development projects.

We’d also love you to have:

⦁ Certified/registered practicing planner or similar professional would be desired.
⦁ Significant experience in property, property management, or a related discipline related to the energy sector would be an advantage.
