The opportunity:

We are seeking a Leading Hand to join our high-performing Devonport workshop.

This role is an ideal fit for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic that's ready to take the next step in their trades career by becoming a hands-on leader to our workshop team including Apprentices and Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.

From general maintenance tasks and repairs through to major component rebuilds, you’ll get plenty of exposure to a variety of work across several vehicle makes and models to keep every day fresh and exciting.

We offer secure and long term employment, a base rate of $43.63 per hour, various allowances and penalties, full supply of uniforms, and limitless career progression opportunities.

The boxes you’ll tick:

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Mechanical Technology or equivalent
  • Experience in providing maintenance and repairs to heavy commercial fleet
  • Experience in managing Apprentices and Trade Assistants
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships
