About The Role:

Are you ready to take your career to new heights? Compare the Market is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic Governance & Business Transformation team. Based in Toowong, you'll be at the forefront of driving project delivery excellence and fostering transparent, trusted communication. Supported by a collaborative team, you'll work closely with IT and business units to ensure successful project outcomes and drive continuous improvement within our project delivery framework.

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll manage key projects throughout the full project delivery lifecycle, contributing to the advancement of our delivery approach. Your efforts will directly support our ambitious growth plans, improving operating rhythms, customer experience, and project governance. You'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organisation by delivering impactful projects that help us achieve our strategic goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage, plan, report, and deliver engaging and varied projects across the enterprise.
  • Be flexible, pragmatic, and adaptable in applying controls to ensure efficient achievement of project outcomes.
  • Apply appropriate project management tools and techniques to maintain high standards of coordination, communication, transparency, and reporting for progress, scope, risk, time, and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with Company governance principles.
  • Adopt the ceremonies and protocols of the technical delivery team, providing feedback to promote continuous improvement.
  • Engage regularly with stakeholders across the organisation, including IT, commercial, and service teams, and occasionally external partners, to plan, coordinate, and collaborate for desired outcomes.
  • Make recommendations to IT and Governance stakeholders to promote reliable and agile delivery methods and improve project governance.
  • Represent each project to the corresponding steering committee, preparing and presenting project status, change requests, and RAID, and undertake action items as directed by the steering committee.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute exemplary project status and governance documentation as required and directed.
  • Devise innovative ways to mitigate risk, improve project-related communications, and manage time and scope.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Qualifications or experience with agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum.
  • Qualifications in one or more project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technology projects, particularly in software development.
  • Experience in the initiation, planning, delivery, and governance of complex enterprise projects.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, evaluating performance, and promoting continuous improvement through iterations.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fast learner with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Capacity to understand complex business principles and concepts.
  • Ability to respond quickly and positively to change and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to prioritise, schedule, and perform work to meet deadlines within a complex team and delivery environment.
  • Ability to present plans, options, and status updates clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
