The Role 

An exciting opportunity to join our team as an Asset Project Specialist. Through project planning and management expertise, the primary focus of this role is to deliver exceptional retirement living property design for Vacate 2 Occupy (V20) unit turns in our retirement living communities.

The position may also involve contribution to development and village renewal projects as required. A passion for ensuring that the residents, as our customers are central to everything you do.  

What you will do 

  • Promote and lead the effective delivery of quality renovations and reinstatements across the retirement living portfolio from quoting through to works completion.
  • Review the commerciality of each unit turn and assist in value managing costs through sharing of best practice with ops and sales teams
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to minimise costs and improve quality and presentation of vacant units.
  • Manage ongoing contractor compliance for renovation projects.
  • Creation and management of tenders, contracts, purchase orders and work orders as required in line with the Procurement Policy. 
  • Produce and provide project plans and accurate reporting for project and expenditure tracking

 What we like about you 

  • The ideal candidate will hold qualifications in Project management; Business, property and/or asset management. Construction related activities such as building, engineering, architecture would also be highly desirable.
  • Project and/or construction management experience with demonstrated and successful outcomes in the delivery of renovations and/or new construction projects.
  • Experience managing clients, contractors, construction teams and relevant consultants 
  • Strong ability to lead, drive and motivate stakeholders to achieve program milestones 
  • Demonstrated commercial/financial acumen
  • Proven track record of achieving results through influencing and relationship management
  • Experience in contract preparation and management
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
