About the role
As an AO3 Maintenance Support Officer, you will be responsible for managing maintenance requests for government housing properties, ensuring timely and efficient responses. You will engage directly with customers and contractors, providing exceptional service and resolving issues effectively.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Arrange responsive maintenance for government housing properties.
  • Answer and make customer calls to address their maintenance needs.
  • Engage with callers to confirm or clarify information and de-escalate situations with angry or frustrated customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and contractors.
  • Use relevant software, databases, scripts, and tools to manage calls and documentation.
  • Strive to meet or exceed call centre performance metrics.
  • Provide consistent and high-quality customer service.

About You
To thrive in this role, you need:

  • Call Centre Skills/Knowledge: Experience in a call centre environment, including handling inbound and outbound calls.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly assess situations, identify issues, and provide effective solutions.
  • Multitasking: Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional Customer Service: Strong active listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Phone Skills: Proficient in managing calls efficiently and professionally.
  • De-escalation Skills: Ability to calm and assist upset customers effectively.
  • Time Management & Decision-Making: Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and make informed decisions.
  • Team Collaboration: Able to work well within a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Must have full working rights in Australia.
  • Be able to pass and hold national police check.
