About the role
Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager you will play an integral part in delivering high quality support (level 2 & 3) to the internal teams as their first point of contact. You will lead the service desk team and provide leadership and mentoring to a small team. 
  
Day to day duties include:

  • Deliver a high level of IT Operations and Service Desk support (level 2 & 3) as the first point of contact for the end users.
  • Manage helpdesk tickets in line with the companies SLA’s.
  • Responsible for monitoring, maintaining systems availability and performance of server operating systems and technology infrastructure
  • Responsible for management of Windows & VMWare and server and end user operating systems across production and test environments within asset lifecycles: proactive management of resources and capacities. Risk identification, reporting and resolution
  • Conduct ongoing system maintenance and updates.
  • Responsible for security updates and application patch deployment
  • Endpoint Protection
  • Incident management, tracking and resolution
  • Management of projects as required

About You
The successful candidate for this role will be a confident communicator who works with a sense of urgency to provide solutions and who enjoys interacting with a variety of key stakeholders on a range of IT related queries. 
  
To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • IT Degree / Certification
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT technical role
  • Proven experience in resolving Level 1/2/3 support issues
  • Advanced knowledge of desktop applications
  • Desire to lead and mentor a team
  • User ID Management including Active Directory (Creation, Deletion, Modification and reporting)
  • Windows 10 Operating Systems and PC support in VDI environment
  • Basic understanding of network concepts TCP\IP, DHCP, DNS
  • ServiceDesk Tool (Ticket Creation, ticket management and escalation)
  • Ability to install and configure IT Hardware
  • Strong troubleshooting & problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills
