Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, development, and guidance to a diverse range of areas within the Operations
  • Lead and direct Depot, Yard, Dock, Warehousing, Data Entry, and Manifesting Teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment and operational success in Perth.
  • Drive excellence in customer service through prioritizing safety, fostering a positive people and culture environment, optimizing operations, managing finances, and ensuring compliance.
  • Work within the Perth Operations Budget to meet the Operations West financial target, achieving a business profit result.
  • Ensure safe, cost-efficient, and reliable distribution of customer freight, with optimal utilization of company assets and minimal costs.
  • Be accountable for the overall performance and success of the business unit, maintaining high standards in operations and achieving operational plan goals in the West region.

Skills & Experience:

  • 5 years + experience in Line Haul / Heavy Haulage / Oversize Perth / Supply Chain operations and people management
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, other departments, and external stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or Business Management / or other relevant discipline, or extensive Perth Industry experience
  • Strong leadership abilities to oversee and guide a team of operator, dispatchers, and other personnel
  • A deep understanding of regulations, compliance, and safety standards
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), routing software, and other relevant tools
