About the role
 

 As a Senior Technical Business Analyst at Transurban, you will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of core business capabilities for Tolling services across Australian Toll Roads. You will be at the forefront of supporting over 2 million tolling trips per day and managing services for approximately 6 million active customers. You will lead the development of business cases, map current and future state processes, and drive requirements elicitation and documentation efforts. In addition to your analytical prowess, you will provide mentorship and guidance on best practices, ensuring that systems meet all necessary standards and policies.

This is a 12-month contract role, based in Melbourne or Sydney CBD

Day-to-day, you will:

Using strong leadership skills to coach and mentor other Tech BA’s on process, procedure and system capabilities. The role requires a strong understanding a variety of technologies across an end-to end platform that encompasses Digital (Apps and Web); on-premises technologies (Oracle Middleware and Fusion) and Cloud native (AWS) platforms.Analysing / Designing / Configuring - Functional Systems (e.g. Oracle); and in-house developed systemsBusiness analysis (including process design), within technology projects and applications development, working across all phases of the systems development life cycle (i.e. from business case development to implementation and benefits realisation)Be tech-centric by utilising your technology knowledge to engage with and improve system to system tasks and non-functional requirements

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

Approximately 5 years of experience working with Information Technology in similar Techno-Functional-Operations roles.Strong knowledge in system to system requirements and non-functional requirements as opposed to general business analysis. Experience in a role where you have analysed, proposed, planned, and delivered projects / solutions / functional enhancements that improved how the business worked.Have been part of a variety of project types and sizes. From small and simple to large and complex projects. From process changes to system implementations.Ability to translate business and technical needs to other tech team members and technical realities , to business colleaguesStrong Experience in developing / maintaining Functional and / or Interface SpecificationsStrong Experience in Data, and data models, SQL / Data Querying skillsIntermediate knowledge of Solution / System ArchitectureAbility to coordinate groups and teams to deliver projects on time and budgetAn eager learner who can pick up new skills quicklyExperience gathering requirements and documenting processes while coordinating with cross-departmental and non-technical teamsExperience with ensuring quality of solutions through organised testing
