About the Role
As the Claims Team Leader, you will lead a team of 9 - 12 claims representatives, acting as a key figure of leadership. You will inspire and uplift your team through your leadership, ensuring that key performance metrics have been met, and your team are driven to provide exceptional customer service.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide exceptional leadership to the frontline team, inspiring them to achieve performance indicators and objectives, specifically through organisational change.
- Oversee the learning and development of the frontline team, including onboarding programs, ongoing performance reviews, and coaching to ensure consistent development and improvement in frontline performance.
- Relationship manage a portfolio of industry-aligned customers and actively engage in relationship-building activities with key stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support on statutory and common law claims management and premium issues.
- Encourage continuous improvement within the team
- Manage customer feedback and escalations effectively
About You
You will be a dynamic, collaborative Team Leader with demonstrated experience in a claims environment. You will enjoy working in an industry that is heavily regulated, and subject to constant change. You will be a proactive, engaging, and energetic leader with the ability to engage individuals to strive for high performance.
You will also have:
- Change management experience, including leading people through change to achieve business outcomes
- Ability to create a team culture that fosters growth and development
- Proven ability to lead a team to achieve goals and build mutually rewarding relationships among team members
- Ability to interact and empathize with customers to understand their position and deliver the best outcomes
- Proven ability to effectively plan, think ahead, organize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and maximize work output
