Taubmans is the jewel in the PPG Paints crown, it’s our largest brand with an exciting range of activities across the marketing mix including Innovation, Communication, Activation and Partnerships. The Taubmans Brand Manager (Trade) is tasked with the growth of Australia’s oldest paint brand in our largest channel. The successful candidate will work alongside the Marketing Manager in ensuring that the marketing objectives of Australia and New Zealand are achieved with excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Marketing Manager, develop and implement the marketing plan for Taubmans and PPG Paints within trade/professional channels to achieve Net Sales, Share and Profitability targets.
  • Contribute to the development of a 3-year strategic plan for the brand portfolio.
  • Keep abreast of paint market trends and competitors, ensuring awareness of activities and programs.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, aligning marketing strategies with sales plans.
  • Develop and implement promotion and advertising activities for Taubmans targeted toward the trade/professional audience.
  • Monitor stock levels, obsolescence risks, and participate in regular product review meetings.
  • Review sales performance regularly, recommending changes in pricing and product mix.

Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification within either Marketing/Commerce/Business/Arts/Law is essential.
  • Minimum 5 years marketing or brand management experience in a B2B capacity with proven record of achievement.  FMCG preferred.
  • Comfortable with all marketing disciplines including working closely with creative, design, digital & media agencies to develop outstanding advertising creative and media programs.
  • A detailed understanding of the Australian and New Zealand trade/professional industry for architectural coatings is preferred.
  • Solid commercial understanding and experience including the ability to provide insights into competitors and commercial strategies and activities.
