As a **Marketing Manager**, **you will report to the Head of Marketing and the role will be based in Clayton, Victoria and manage the largest brands/categories.

You will lead long-term brand/portfolio strategy and oversee the daily brand management activities to guide the commercial agenda and financial delivery of the brand/s, across both Retail and Commercial Channels. The focus is on supporting the 12-36-month agenda.

**Responsibilities**

**BRAND STRATEGY & MANAGEMENT**
- Working with other marketing leads in the development of a compelling 24-month rolling brand plan, ensuring plans are precise, compelling, distinct, deliverable, and sustainable - maximizing strengths, building on consumer insights, and capitalizing on marketplace opportunities.
- Following the strategy, influence the innovation agenda for the brand/s and deliver the 12 months commercial plan with contingency planning in place
- Monitor competitor strategies and recommend adjustments to brand plans where required.

**BRAND PLANNING**
- Implementation of communication, media, digital, promotional & sponsorship activities, considering the broader market and context
- Continue to contribute to the ongoing assessment and evolution of the Taubmans and PPG Paints portfolio strategy, ensuring appropriate growth and maintenance strategies are in place across the portfolio and within main sales channels.
- Manage marketing budget and expenditures for the relevant brand/s
- Work with the broader commercial partner to align sales and marketing strategies and execution.

**PRICING and VALUE OPTIMISATION**
- With Sales, Portfolio Manager and Operations, leads and develops pricing and value optimisation strategy and actions for execution.

**PEOPLE and TEAM DEVELOPMENT**
- Lead and develop direct reports facilitating learning & development opportunities & ensuring regular career dialogs and annual reviews.
- With demonstrated passion for the Taubmans and PPG Paints portfolio & the broader commercial agenda, energize and motivate the sales team, wider organization, and retailers behind core brand activities, ensuring understanding to a broader set of SBU objectives.
- Work relationships with necessary external partners and agencies (e.g., Creative and Media Agencies, Packaging and PR agencies) to achieve brand objectives.

**Qualifications**

**A marketing skillset with**:

- Brand and portfolio strategy.
- Annual planning, financial and performance management. Understanding of Revenue Growth Management is highly preferred.
- Insight identification and communications strategy development.
- To highlight issues, opportunities, and improvement plans.

**Non-technical Competencies**
- In-depth knowledge of market research and experience in B2B.
- Project management skills and able to work in situations that can be ambiguous.
- A detailed understanding of the Australian and New Zealand retail industry as it relates to the FMCG markets
- Experience managing a team to achieve specific business results.

**Experience**
- A tertiary qualification within either Marketing/Commerce/Business/Arts/Law is essential.
- Minimum 10 years marketing or brand management experience in a high volume and fast-paced consumer goods company with record of achievement.
- Comfortable with all marketing disciplines including working with creative, design, digital and media agencies to develop outstanding advertising creative and media programs.
- Solid commercial experience including insight into competitor and retailer strategies and activity.
