About the role

The role of the Tennis World, Customer Experience Lead at Tennis World (Melbourne Park and Albert Reserve) is crucial in ensuring a positive and seamless experience for all customers. This position involves managing the daily operations of customer service, overseeing retail merchandise fulfillment, and handling membership administration. By implementing effective management processes, providing thorough training, and fostering strong relationships with staff and stakeholders, the Customer Experience Lead will significantly enhance service delivery and drive sales growth. This role also contributes to shaping the overall perception of Tennis World, making it an unforgettable experience for all customers.

  • Lead the Customer Experience team in all front-of-house operations, ensuring a friendly and safe environment for Tennis World customers and staff.
  • Act as the main liaison between the Manager, Tennis World and the Customer Experience team.
  • Monitor the presentation of the Pro Shop and café, presenting a fresh, clean, and uncluttered retail environment at all times.
  • Monitor, track, report, advise, and conduct planning processes to ensure Tennis World meets membership delivery requirements and expectations.
  • In consultation with Tennis World management, create and reset Retail strategy for ongoing growth and engagement.
  • Manage and oversee all operations of the area, including order processing, customer service, and staffing.
  • Manage and accurately report stock levels (i.e., Melbourne Park & Albert Reserve Café and Pro Shop).

About you

What you will bring to the role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Sport Management or Sports Administration
  • Responsible Serving of Alcohol certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Prior experience in managing a sports store/retail shop/café (desirable)
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with various stakeholders
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
