Sydney, New South Wales, Australia NICE Full time

NICE is a leading company in the AU market, offering a unique opportunity for ambitious professionals to join their team as a Senior Network Operations Engineer. This role is ideal for those seeking a challenging and rewarding career with a growing organization.

The estimated salary for this position is around $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

As a Senior Network Operations Engineer at NICE, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum possible service availability and performance for all CXone products. Your duties will include providing support for Technical Support, R&D, Product, and other internal teams, as well as serving as a central hub of communication regarding the status and ongoing events within the network and platform.

You will achieve this by performing routine preventative and reactive tasks related to network and platform activity, creating, reviewing, and updating documentation as needed, and providing clear communication to stakeholders throughout the organization.

A typical day in this role may involve troubleshooting network and platform issues from a server-side perspective, validating and testing all NICE CXone products and platforms, and performing routine health checks over and above automated monitoring to ensure the quickest detection time for service-affecting issues.

You will also be responsible for responding to any number of alarms, alerts, or abnormal behaviors detected through reactive or proactive monitoring, ensuring all activities are documented and tracked through a ticketing system, and maintaining appropriate expectations with internal and external teams.

In addition, you will be responsible for executing established procedures as it relates to incident, change, and event management, managing events and incidents from cradle to grave, providing initial troubleshooting and resolution while working with other teams or vendors as necessary to provide restoration, and providing training and coaching for technical resources both internal to the NOC as well as other teams as necessary.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Information Services, or equivalent work experience, as well as 5+ years' experience working in a technical or support role within telecommunications, data network, or application server environment.

You will also need to demonstrate an understanding of network topologies, Windows server-client environments, and telecommunication environments with a focus on SIP, and possess confident and goal-oriented attitude with an ability to set and meet short and long-term objectives.

Experience in creating, utilizing, and maintaining technical documentation, working in a windows server environment as it relates to server and software management tasks, and ability to harvest and disseminate information in both formal and informal training environments are also essential.

Bonus experience includes working with SaaS/Cloud based software environments, experience with VoIP implementation and support, specifically configuration of SIP End points and troubleshooting SIP telephony challenges, experience working with firewalls in general, experience working with BMC, and expertise with VoIP Gateways, SS7 Controllers and soft switches.
