About the role

Our Pilbara business is thriving, and as such we are on the lookout for a motivated and team focused Mechanic (auto-electrician / diesel mechanic) to join our high performing team. This role will operate, DIDO or FIFO from Perth to our sites within Pilbara.

As a mechanic at Orica, you will provide technical support and maintenance to all of Orica’s fixed plant and mobile plant on Site. What you will be doing

  • General servicing of all mobile and fixed plant and machinery;
  • Schedule servicing, repairs, alterations and breakdown maintenance.
  • Assist the Territory and Site Managers to manage a maintenance plan for the equipment at their site(s);
  • Continually reassess risks associated with regional operation and maintenance processes taking appropriate corrective action as required;
  • Providing field support for clients by performing training, reviews and maintenance support on site;
  • Participate in safety programs and promote safe work practice.

What you will bring

  • Trade certification in either Heavy Road Transport, Auto Electrical or equivalent.
  • For HV Mechanics , auto electrical knowledge is advantageous
  • Strong written and verbal communication, customer relation and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to attain a Heavy rigid (HR) vehicle license
  • Previous experience working on heavy vehicles (advantageous);
