About the Role

Cummins Inc. is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Karratha. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers across various industries, including mining, marine, and power generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform engine diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy equipment and engines in the field and at our Karratha workshop.
  • Complete repairs and maintenance of Cummins On Hwy and HHP products, as well as attend to breakdowns in the field and service marine customers on and off shore.
  • Diagnose and repair various gen sets across our industrial and power station customers.
  • Engine rebuilding and reconditioning.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, and report any issues/incidents to the Field Service Supervisor.
  • Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

Requirements

  • Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards).
  • Experience as a technician in the service and maintenance of heavy equipment/engines in field service. Cummins experience is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience of working in remote locations.
  • Solid diagnostic and IT capabilities.
