About the Role 

This role will be responsible for leading and supporting the following:

  • Leading the quality agenda within the manufacturing business unit and relevant area
  • Compliance to meet all regulatory, customer and company requirements 
  • Implementation of process control and monitoring programmes inclusive of Non-Conformance resolution 
  • Quality testing of incoming raw material and driving continuous improvement with suppliers 
  • Development of initiatives to reduce customer complaints 
  • GMP, cleaning and sanitation programmes and laboratory best practice
  • Improvement initiatives for plant hygiene and sanitation systems including monitoring with relevant external suppliers
  • Micro testing programmes (conjunction with and led by the Food Safety Specialist) inclusive of reporting, escalation and implementation of corrective action plans (where applicable).
  • Support of Food Safety design and implementation
  • Design and implementation of Quality and Environmental Systems 
  • Implementation of New Products and Promotional activities affecting the manufacturing business unit

About You

  • We are looking for skills, attributes and experience which include:
  • Relationship Management skills
  • Consulting Skills
  • Ability to influence a range of people at all levels to achieve outcomes
  • Takes responsibility for effective implementation and delivery
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in quality assurance roles is an advantage
  • Undergraduate degree qualifications or equivalent in a Science based discipline (ideally)
  • Preferably experience in FMCG/Food manufacturing/Packaging Technology
