Senior Analyst - IT Controls Assurance

What will your typical day look like?

You will:

  • Be a trusted advisor: Guide clients on enhancing their IT governance, risk, and control frameworks and operating models.
  • Lead from the front: Plan, manage, and deliver diverse IT assurance engagements, empowering organizations to elevate their IT governance, risk, and control environments.
  • Influence decision-makers: Present impactful insights and recommendations to senior management and executive stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation: Identify opportunities to optimize IT risk management and internal audit practices.
  • Build your brand: Invest time in cultivating relationships and establishing your profile in the market and within the firm.
  • Contribute to our growth: Actively participate in business development efforts, supporting the pursuit of new opportunities and expanding our client base.

As part of Deloitte’s Control Assurance team, you will have the opportunity to advise and consult on some of Australia’s largest and most influential organizations, helping them strengthen their IT governance, risk, and control frameworks. These frameworks are essential for protecting their brand, their employees, and the communities in which they operate. We are a leader in the Australian market, with a strong mandate to support our clients in managing technology risks through robust Internal Audits and Technology Assurance programs. Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:

  •  3+ years’ experience in IT internal audit, advisory, or consulting role, with a track record of successfully managing teams and projects.
  • Excellent communication: The ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Technical expertise: Experience in designing or testing technology controls in an Internal Audit, an in-house Assurance Function, or external audit capacity.
  • Client-facing experience: Proven ability to deliver high-quality reports, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Business acumen: Experience in building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to the sales process.
  • Candidates from professional services with experience running technology assurance engagements and an understanding of assurance standards (ASAE 3150, SOC 1, SOC 2, etc.) will be highly regarded.
  • Candidates with relevant certifications, such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar industry certifications, will also be highly regarded.
  • Having knowledge of APRA prudential regulatory requirements for technology security (CPS 234), operational resilience (CPS 230), and data (CPG 235) is an added plus.
