About the role
The Mater Hospital Administration team has an opportunity available for an experienced Senior Administration Officer to join their Infusion and Neuro Ward in a permanent part time capacity 22.5 hours per week.
As a Senior Administration Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operations of our Infusion and Neuro Ward. You will be responsible for managing the administrative aspects of the ward, including admissions and discharges, to provide excellent support to our patients and staff.
Salary range: $36.51 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and +
What you’ll be doing
Your role will involve but not be limited to:
Oversee the admission and discharge process for patients, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all necessary paperwork Be a friendly face, answering inquiries, providing information, and offering support during their stay in the ward Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to coordinate patient care activities effectively Scheduling appointments, arranging transportation, and ensuring that necessary medical equipment and supplies are readily available Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic records of admissions, discharges, and other administrative tasks Provide support to the administrative team, including training and mentoring new staff membersAbout you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a healthcare setting Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of individuals Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office Suite A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to provide exceptional patient careWhy join us?
