The Opportunity

The primary objective of the General Manager – Funds Finance is to support the Executive General Manager - Funds Management, Fund Managers, Chief Financial Officer, Head of Group & Funds Finance and other senior stakeholders to meet the strategic and operational finance needs of the funds management platform. The role is the operational leader for the Funds Finance function, including managing and driving the delivery of financial analysis, performance and reporting across the Group’s $40 billion funds management platform comprised of unlisted funds, joint ventures, mandates and satellite listed vehicles (DXC and DXI) across the real estate and infrastructure sectors.

As General Manager, Funds Finance, the key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Leadership: Shape team culture and ensure engagement and resourcing for a team of ~40. Member of key leadership groups.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead business support for Funds Finance, ensuring effective partnerships and communication with senior stakeholders.
  • Governance: Oversee scalable and efficient financial reporting systems, policies, and processes. Drive continuous improvement.
  • Reporting: Ensure quality and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to support decision-making and protect the brand.
  • Strategy: Contribute to corporate strategy development and support budgeting and forecasting for Funds Management.
  • Transactions Advisory: Lead financial transaction advisory, including structuring and due diligence.
  • Change Management: Lead transformation initiatives, ensuring proper planning, resources, and communication.

About You

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior finance leadership role
  • Deep understanding of corporate finance and demonstrated commercial ability
  • Exposure to ASX listed and unlisted funds management reporting requirements and obligations
  • Functional experience across financial and management accounting, financial control, tax, capital structuring, treasury, audit and risk management, real estate, infrastructure and corporate transactions
  • Exposure to complex environments and the acumen to resolve complex financial issues across real estate and infrastructure
  • Understanding of and experience leading finance change and transformation projects
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong change management skills
  • Comprehensive negotiation, mediation and conflict management skills
  • Strong leadership and ability to develop a high-functioning team
