We’re looking for skilled Linespersons or Live Line Linespersons or an Electrical Fitter Mechanic with experience in distribution line work to permanently join our team located in Blackwater .

Remuneration:
The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant’s knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.
Location Incentives:

Non-Urban Zone Allowance - up to $11,125 per annum. Housing Allowance - up to $11,440 per annum. Locality Allowance - up to $1,757 per annum. Non-Urban Time Recognition Payments - $5,000 after 2 years and an additional $10,000 at 5, 10, 15 & 20 year milestones.
And, if you don't currently live in this neck of the woods, we'll also chip in up to $10,000 relocation assistance to make the move just that little bit easier.

About the role:
As a Linesperson or Live Line Linesperson, you will:
Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson. Be trade qualified with Queensland Live Line authorisation. Construct, maintain and repair overhead, high and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines. Perform live line methodology on Energy Queensland (Ergon Energy and Energex) networks.
As an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, you will:
Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence. Install, repair, commission and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant. Have experience in distribution line work (preferred).
About you:
Critical to your success in the role, is your:
Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network. Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations. Availability for call out and emergency work. Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work. Current ‘C’ class open Drives Licence.
