We are seeking an Electrical Fitter Mechanic and/or Linesperson to join our team permanently in Middlemount.

Remuneration -

  • From $97,006 per year % superannuation.
The payment level is contingent on the assessment of the applicant's knowledge, skills, and competencies required for the role.

Location Incentives -

Before disregarding the small mining town of Middlemount, explore the additional location incentives available. Whether you aim to enhance your Superannuation before retirement or save for real estate investments, the following allowances can significantly contribute to reaching your financial objectives.

  • Non-Urban Zone Allowance – up to $15,375 per year.
  • Housing Allowance – up to $14,040 per year.
  • Locality Allowance – up to $2,366 per year.
  • Non-Urban Time Recognition Payments - $10,000 after 2 years, and upon staying for 5, 10, 15, or 20 years, we'll award you $15,000 at each milestone.
Additionally, when you decide it's time for a well-deserved break, we will grant you an extra 4 days of annual leave per year to facilitate travels to and from your chosen holiday destinations.

Moreover, if you do not currently reside in this area, we will also provide up to $10,000 in relocation assistance to ease the transition.

About the Position:

As an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, your responsibilities include:

  • Being trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic license.
  • Installing, repairing, commissioning, and maintaining diverse electrical equipment and plants.
As a Linesperson, your duties consist of:

  • Holding a trade qualification with a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson, or
  • Building, maintaining, and fixing overhead, high, and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains, and consumer service lines.
About You:

Crucial for your role success is your:

  • Demonstrated understanding of an electricity distribution/transmission system, involving network construction and maintenance.
  • Availability for emergency call-outs and work.
  • Readiness to travel to neighboring areas occasionally for work obligations.
  • Current 'C' class open Drives License.
