We're looking for an Electrical Fitter Mechanic to permanently join our Customer Service/Rapid Response team located in Home Hill .

The Customer Service workgroup perform customer connections, meter installation and upgrades, and shock investigations for residential and business customers on the Ergon network.

The Rapid Response workgroup performs maintenance on the LV and HV network including emergency fault finding, LV/HV switching, inspecting and testing and commissioning of assets.

Remuneration from $97,006 pa + 12.75% super + locality allowance up to $1,752 pa + other allowances

The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant's knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.

As an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, you will:

Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence. Install, repair, commission and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant. Experience in line work and/or HV cable jointing preferred.
About you:

Critical to your success in the role, is your:

Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network. Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations. Availability for call out and emergency work. Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work. Current 'C' class open Drives Licence. You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.
