Health Workforce Queensland invites applications for a Clinical Psychologist to join our Mental Health and Wellness practice in Toowoomba. This permanent (part-time or full-time hours) position offers an opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of professionals committed to improving lives.
About the RoleThis is a clinical psychologist position that involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating various presentations in adults, adolescents, children, and their families. The ideal candidate will be experienced in delivering various evidence-based therapies within patient-centred care models in private practice settings.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to build rapport with clients, families, stakeholders, and colleagues. They will also be able to work effectively in independent and collaborative settings.
Main Responsibilities- Provide evidence-based psychological assessments and strategies to clients aged 7 and older.
- Conduct telehealth sessions as needed.
- Maintain accurate electronic case notes and client records.
- Write various reports, including progress summaries, discharge reports, assessment findings, and NDIS review reports.
- Participate in case conferences and supervision.
- Collaborate with the therapy and administration team.
The salary for this position is up to $125,000 per annum, including benefits such as leave entitlements, superannuation, clinical support, supervision, and mentoring. The role also offers flexible working days and hours, as well as opportunities to develop a treatment focus within interest areas.
In addition, the successful applicant will be entitled to receive support and financial assistance through Health Workforce Queensland's comprehensive workforce attraction and retention incentives. This position may also be eligible for a scholarship or bursary for ongoing professional development.
Requirements- AHPRA Registered as a General Psychologist with Clinical Endorsement.
- Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent).
- Independently meets CPD requirements set by AHPRA.
- Minimum 12 months of private practice experience.
- Medicare Provider registration (or eligibility).
- Criminal History and Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Worker screening clearance and orientation module completion (or willingness to obtain).
- Professional Indemnity Insurance.
- Compliance with Queensland Health guidelines and Public Health orders.
- ABN (for contractors).
