Senior Portfolio Partner

  • $142,374 per annum + superannuation

About the role

The Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) operates at a strategic level in collaboration with executives to ensure all projects, program and portfolio activities align with enterprise-wide objectives.

The Senior Portfolio Partner team supports enterprise project delivery, facilitating the development and ongoing management of an optimised portfolio. The Senior Portfolio Partner is a trusted advisor and ensures senior management decisions achieve WorkSafe’s strategic objectives through the delivery of programs and projects.

Key accountabilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Sponsors. This includes conceptualising, initiating, implementing, promoting and evaluating complex and innovative technical programs. This provides Project Management Framework compliance assurance and oversight of the enterprise portfolio of projects to deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Provide regular enterprise and portfolio executive reporting. This is achieved by complex analysis and interpretation and assisting projects to produce clear and robust decision making material. This includes concept ideas, change requests business cases and the monthly enterprise dependency forum.
  • Provide oversight to a designated portfolio working with delivery teams to manage business investment. This ensures results are delivered through planning, reporting and governance services and delivery and support of enterprise portfolio processes.
  • Provide expert information and advice to improve policy and enterprise trends and delivery risk in collaboration with the Delivery Improvement Team.
  • Enterprise wide collaboration to lead the development of a prioritised and sequenced delivery road map that contributes to achievement of aims of the strategic plan.

About you

You are an experienced Portfolio Partner who has excellent communication and organisational skills. You have a passion for Portfolio, Program and Project Management. You are a team oriented person who enjoys negotiating and influencing. Further to this you will also have:

  • Advanced enterprise portfolio and project management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and guide staff at all levels of seniority
  • Proven senior leadership, communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills. This includes coaching, facilitation, influencing, negotiation and liaising skills, and the ability to adapt to a diverse range of stakeholders and contexts
  • Ability to lead strategic direction of the team, including developing business plans, strategies and priorities
  • Extensive project lifecycle experience understanding the planning and delivery of projects in their entirety including experience in PRINCE2, PMBOK, Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
