Purpose

Here is an excellent opportunity for a skilled project leader to contribute to the establishment of an enterprise project management practice at WorkSafe. As a Portfolio Lead, you will play a crucial role in the strategic leadership of the practice, overseeing a team of project delivery professionals, enhancing delivery standards, and collaborating with senior leadership and stakeholders to ensure top-notch delivery services within your assigned portfolio.

This role offers the chance to introduce innovative ideas, employ agile methodologies, and collaborate with other practice leads to ensure an integrated approach to delivery. Additionally, you will be responsible for guiding new initiatives, demonstrating best practices to the team, and providing support when projects face challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of project professionals to deliver high-quality outcomes for WorkSafe, emphasizing client satisfaction.
  • Promote and develop model project management practices, standards, and competencies.
  • Provide project management guidance to Senior Leadership and Program Directors for successful portfolio delivery.
  • Enhance WorkSafe's internal project management and agile capabilities through recruitment and development of project management professionals.
  • Drive strategies to underscore the value of project management within the portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Tertiary qualification in project management or equivalent.
  • Professional certifications in both traditional and agile delivery (PMBOK, PRINCE2, SAFe, etc).

Desired:

  • Advanced project management certifications (MSP, MoP, PgMP, PfMP, CPPD, ChPP, etc).
