The role

Our people are core to the success of our organisation, and as the Talent Acquisition Lead, you will play a crucial role in Prospa’s mission to unleash the potential of every small business. By finding, nurturing, and hiring the best talent both internally and in the market, you will ensure we have the right people driving our mission forward.

Over the next 12 months, you and your team will focus several key strategic initiatives, including our Employee Value Proposition (EVP), talent pooling for key roles, and embedding our new onboarding process.

What you will be doing

  • Lead talent acquisition, aligning recruitment with Prospa’s goals and dynamic environment
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle using effective sourcing strategies, channels, and tools
  • Guide and support the Talent Acquisition Partner, offering coaching, mentorship, and growth opportunities
  • Apply a data-driven approach to hiring, using pipeline insights and market intelligence
  • Collaboratively lead key projects with the Talent Acquisition Partner and stakeholders, focusing on employer branding, onboarding, talent pooling, and process improvement
  • Coach hiring managers on best practices for evidence-based hiring decisions and excellent candidate experiences
  • Be an ambassador for Prospa, modelling values and identifying future ambassadors for the Culture Ambassador Program
  • Drive diversity and inclusion initiatives to continue building a diverse workforce
  • Manage vendor relationships, including partnerships with external agencies as appropriate

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Seasoned end to end talent acquisition experience, with demonstrated experience within an internal role
  • Experience recruiting technical roles is essential (engineering, data, quantitative analysts and/or treasury experience is highly advantageous)
  • Experience in talent project delivery is highly advantageous
  • Proven ability to influence and build strong relationships: this role needs to connect, collaborate and influence at all levels 
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable writing clear, polished comms in a variety of channels 
  • An eye for problem solving, creating efficiencies, and making the complex simple
  • Enjoy data and numbers but also able to see the big picture
  • You are future and growth focused 
  • People leadership experience is preferred 
  • Experience managing budgets is preferred
