About the role and team

Our People and Culture Division is focused on driving capability, productivity, and performance, organising ourselves to work together effectively, and making our employee experience better. Important work is delivered by our Culture and Engagement Team who manages activities to facilitate and manage activity to support the evolution of our culture.

We have a 12-month fixed term opportunity for a Manager Culture and Experience to implement strategic initiatives focused on driving relevant Culture, Employee Engagement, Values and Behaviours transformation.

With genuine access to key decision makers at a Board and Executive level you’ll be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing strategic initiatives focused on driving relevant culture and values including behavioural change, employee engagement, and employee experience transformation. As an experienced leader with a strong background in driving cultural, behavioural, and capability shifts you’ll bring your broad expertise across a range of engagement methodologies, tools, and frameworks.

This role can be based in any of our main office locations: Adelaide, Bendigo, Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne - as required, in a hybrid approach, 2 days you’ll be in the office, and then other days you’ll be working from home to help better balance your life and work.

As the Manager Culture and Experience you will:

Lead the development and implementation of strategy, frameworks, processes, and initiatives that reflect current and emerging approaches to enterprise culture and employee engagement Design interventions to embed our values and behaviours across the employee lifecycle Lead the development of an employee experience strategy, working across the People & Culture team to implement Co-design engagement solutions that enhance employee experience Measure and evidence how the Bank’s culture and employee experience is evolving over time Generate meaningful and actionable insights from data and existing reporting Use (data) visualisation techniques to generate and engage an audience Use project delivery disciplines (integration, scope, time, cost, quality, people, communications, and risk) to achieve the highest level of business success and uptake

To be successful in the role, you'll have:

A relevant tertiary degree in Organisational Psychology, Human Resources, or similar (preferred but not essential) Demonstrated experience within a financial services or professional environment with sound knowledge of organisational development, behavioural change, psychology, and human behaviour or risk Proven capabilities and thorough exposure to project management, as well as change management methods and techniques Previous experience working on cultural change programs; including a focus on values refresh and employee experience Experience managing senior stakeholders with the ability to influence and work with senior business leaders to execute to drive and implement culture interventions The ability to translate strategic objectives into strategic culture initiatives and recommended tactical activity Experience working in an agile framework to manage multiple programmes of work and deliverables An understanding of regulatory cultural expectations Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to create compelling insights and recommendations using quantitative and qualitative data Expert stakeholder management and influencing skills, being able to build rapport at all levels An advanced ability to think critically, analytically, and strategically
