About the Role:

As a Community Domestic Worker, you will assist clients with general household tasks and day-to-day activities based on their individual needs. You will be a part of a supportive team who have the ability to make a positive impact to older persons and improve their quality of life in the comfort of their homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform domestic duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, laundry and meal preparation.
  • Engage In social interaction and provide companionship.
  • Transport clients to appointments and assist them during social outings.
  • Meet the goals, needs and preferences outlined by the client and/or advocate in the care plan.
  • Communicate, report and document client changes, deterioration and concerns to the Supervisor. 
  • Participate in staff training, appraisals, and team meetings.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by gathering client feedback and adapting to workforce changes.
  • Be actively involved in an incident management system.

Essential Criteria:

  • A full Australian driver's license with comprehensive insurance and use of own vehicle
  • Access to a reliable, registered, and insured motor vehicle.
  • Access to a smart mobile device.
  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt to the changing needs and schedules of our home care clients.

Desirable Skills:

  • First Aid & CPR, Manual Handling Certificate
  • Understanding of Italian culture and language.
  • Experience working with the elderly and knowledge of aged care issues.
