We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Substation Engineering.
This role offers the chance to help shape the industry while mentoring the next generation of engineers and ensuring seamless collaboration across teams to deliver impactful, high-quality results.
This position offers flexibility with opportunities in: Kennesaw, GA (Suburb of Atlanta) Palm Beach Gardens, FL Orlando, FL Nashville, TN Tampa, FL Pensacola, FL Charlotte, NC Responsibilities Project Leadership & Management: Lead all phases of Substation projects, from design through construction and commissioning.
Manage budgets, schedules, and project deliverables.
Technical Expertise & Compliance: Oversee design, analysis, and optimization of Substations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
Collaboration & Integration: Work with cross-functional teams to align Substation projects with overall energy infrastructure.
Team Development & Support: Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across departments.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).
Typically 10+ years of experience in Substation engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of Substation design software and tools.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
